We are a fully licensed Travel Agency. In fact, the only agent dedicated to photographers in Australia. Darran Leal is one of only a few, full-time professional photo guides in the world. He has been tour leader for over 200 tours, plus over 300 workshops and seminars. Julia is a professional travel consultant, having worked in wholesale and retail travel for over 29 years. Now oldest son Pearce Leal, has joined the team. Pearce is like a ‘duck to water’, with fantastic teaching skills and a youthful enthusiasm to help photographers to be creative. Combined, they make an awesome team!
We hope you enjoy exploring our site, which offers amazing photo adventures, plus free tips and techniques.
Thanks Julia,
Once again you have been wonderful! I will pass on your regards to Darrell, Jo and John.
Cheers Victoria
Hi Julia, Darran and Pearce,
As is always the case, I have had the most wonderful time at the workshop. Learnt heaps, and can’t believe I have actually pixel bent an image!! Yeah!! Will have another attempt later today at a second one. Darran and Pearce, thank you both for helping me get out of difficulties with the images and the computer – I really do appreciate and value your help. Thanks, too, to you all for allowing us to come and spend workshop time at your home – that includes Frazer, too – as it really is fantastic to be in such a beautiful environment for a workshop. Fran
Thanks Julia.
You are a legend and that is one of the reasons I continue to travel with you with such confidence.
Very best wishes
Kay
Hi Darran,
Thanks again for another great workshop – Kangaroo Island had a surprisingly wide range of subjects making every day a new experience. When I got home CS6 had arrived. Can’t wait to dive in and explore with my new images.
Regards, Bill
Darran
I have received nothing but great feedback from the others about the workshop and your ability to communicate complex issues simply. That is the first time we had done something like that, but it is clear that we have stirred the interest of others to do more of these little workshops/photo excursions. Thanks. I actually got more technically out of the workshop than I expected. You encouraged me to again use flash. Manual works well for flash, particularly in poor light. There were a number of Lightroom tools that I had either not used or used very infrequently. Upping the ISO to reduce the range of light intensity between background and flashed subject. Be prepared to use f5.6 a bit more than my usual range of f5.6 to f8. It was also fun.
regards Jon
